Amamere Folk Music & Dance Ensemble box AT 2209 Achimota Mk.00233-21 aCCRA gHANA Website Amamere Folk Music & Dance Ensemble; is a Cultural organisation under the tutelage of AMAMERE CONCEPTS LTD based in Accra. It is an Organisation with the mission of propagating and promoting the cultural values and heritage of Africa through traditional Music, Dance & Drama.
We are an affiliated member of Center for National Arts & Culture,National Commissions On Culture and Ghana Export Promotion Council.We are a recognised performing organisation. We have been involved in lots of performances both home and abroad uplifting our heritage with its cultural values. Also we extensively train school children in the private and public first and second cycle Institutions all over Accra in AfricanTraditional folk music, dance & Drama in a workshop organised by our group hence we will be eligible for any International workshop as our team of Experts are always ready to give thier best. Our experience spanning over 15 years locally and 10 years of Internationally Workshop, Training, Showcases and Performances have taken us round the globe. Locally we are well known and recognize as such we undertook challenging National Programmes (performances) such as Tafo International Golf Open Championship, Gino National Cooking Competition, Launching of Ghana’s Most Beautiful Pageant, International Jazz Festival-Dubois center-Accra, Tv3 National Mother’s Day Celebrations etc. INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCES: · Firstly in 2002, the group attended GALA DEL FOLKLORE FESTIVAL in Mesina-Italy. After which we had a tour from Southern Messina to the Northern Berigamo, performing in 24 cities in 28 days.(then called DZENBII) · Then come 2003, we moved to Sid mouth Festival, Derbyshire, where we excelled so well to the admiration of the audiences and we got called to Royal festival hall (rfh) to exhibit our talent to the admiration of the waiting audiences. From there we got a pending festival contract for the following year. (Then called DZENBII). · In 2004, Starting from May 2nd – 10th, we went back to Italy for another wonderful tour of CITAREALE (Central Italy), Roma, Termoli, Alatri, Barcelonese Mango, and Gravina in Puglia etc.(Then called SOGO) · In May 2005, we were invited to Palma de Marloca-Spain, for an international festival and just after that from July 29th –August 7th, we moved to the United Kingdom to perform in Alnwick international music festival-North-umber land - Newcastle. Then called SOGO) · In 2006 we participated in 34th International Del Folklore at Pattrallia-Sottana, Catania, Enna, etc. in Palermo. Members of ADG are in two sections: National Dance Ensemble (NDE) which represents dancers and National Songs Ensemble (NSE) which represents singers. They are well-known highly experienced artists and performers, who took place on several festivals in Serbia and abroad in Europe (Confolens, Martiques, Concarneau in France, Madrid, Barcelona, San Sebastian, Cadiz in Spain, Lefkas in Greece, Kaliningrad in Russia, Bourgas in Bulgaria etc.), Asia (Istanbul in Turkey, Naning in China). ADG tries to preserve tradition and customs of all nations from the whole Balkan region because of the common heritage and history of all Balkan nations. Our members are well skilled in all styles of traditional dances and singing techniques. By performing Serbian national dances and songs we have achieved the status of good representatives of Serbian culture and customs.Activities of ADG are especially adaptive for young people. Senior members of ADG easy transfer their experience to the younger ones. This is very important because of the future representing of our people and our culture worldwide.The program of our overnight performance consists of 8 different parts:— Ero s onoga svijeta — Bunjevacke igre — Dalmatinska poskocica Lindo — Vlaske igre — Igre iz Sumadije — Sopske igre — Makedonske igre — Vranjanska svita Each part represents different geographical region of Balkan. Anatolian Folk Dance Group was founded by Mr. Arif SONMEZ in 1992. Till today group had performed Anatolian Folk Dances and Musics with original dances, costumes and musics in Turkey and lots of foreign countries. Our aim is meet cultures together without look their religions, languages and lineages. The most importand think is peace and friendship between folks in all over the world. We are inviting folk dance and musics group from all over the world where we organizing folk dance festivals in Turkey. And also we are sending folk dance groups from Turkey who needs Turkish folk dance and music groups. We have about 20 children and adoult groups in Turkey. Generally our performances are with live music but if festivals prefer cd we have also cd. But we prefer live music. Our groups has about 35-40 participants.We can have performances how long you prefer. We don’t have generally visa problem because of we have participated more than 50 foreign festivals in past.In 2009 we will invite 30 folk dance group from Asia, Amerika, Africa where we will organize festivals in Turkiye.If you want to invite one of the our groups in your 2009 festivals, I can send you information of my group ( Anatolian Folk Dance Group ). Currently, Armelit folkdance club has 300 adults, 750 children in its classes and joins competitions and festivals with these students and its 90 professional dancers. Moreover, it is also an association that gives lessons in the area of folkdance, modern dance, Latin dance and music to the public.
